Challenge
SriLankan Airlines has been a champion of the country's surf scene for decades as a promising source of tourism. They approached me about bringing an incredible story to life in The Surfer's Guide - Sri Lanka.
Solution
I conducted interviews with Arugam Bay residents and SriLankan Airlines officials, as well as doing independent research on the nation's Civil War and economy, in order to write this feature story, first published in The Surfer's Guide - Sri Lanka in 2023.
